I have a question about vampires and emotions. The only vampires I'm familiar with are those of the Buffy/Angel universe.

In the Vampire Diaries, do the vamps have emotions? I mean, in Buffy we were told that because they don't have souls, vampires were incapable of feeling real emotions. I guess they can still feel love and anger, but what about pity or remorse? Like if Damon hurt someone accidentally, could he feel bad about it? Or is it that because Stefan chose to lead a "good" vamp life, he could feel it, but because Damon gave up the whole humanity thing and embraced vampness, that he wouldn't/couldn't?

I personally think our VD vampires do feel I think its shown in how Stefan has decided to live his life. He decided not to kill humans, so means that he feels something

Vampire romance is the best genre there is. Seriously, read the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and everything else will seem boring. No offense!
