For me personally, this just proves that JP never cared about Elijah, Hayley, us the fans, or Haylijah. I will never hate Elijah, but I sure as heck will be pissed at the writers for treating them and us like this.

I know it's not Elijah's fault because he doesn't remember he loves them. But it still sucks and the guilt he's going to feel is going to eat him up. There's no way he ends this show alive

Even if Elijah doesn't "remember" love them. He knows that he once was in love with her. That should be enough for Elijah to at least question his girlfriend and family motive. Especially considering that he find his niece and her mother all chain up. Marcel (should have given him his memory back) took away his memory, not his common sense and logic.

Technically if you go by what has been shown, Elijah's clearly been brainwashed by that so called girlfriend of his. He's been tricked into thinking his family and Hayley are the bad guys by Ant and her family. Who knows what the heck she's been putting into his head since she met him.
