Could be, depends on how much they want it to last, it can end with his return as much as it can go on

Generally SL last 6-7 episodes, so maybe this is just Elena's phase until Damon is back

I was doing some thinking about the possibility of the time Elena fell in love with Damon. It would be such a game changer if it was the first time they met and he compelled her to forget their meeting. This can shed light on why she was confused on what she was feeling during season 3. And it would make the scene in season 2 when Damon confesses his love to her, then compels her to forget that as well. When she became a Vampire and she remembered the first meeting, she should of felt the love at that point, which she might have, but it was twisted with all the other feelings she was feeling being a new vampire and all. So when Rebecca compelled her during After School Special and she tells everyone she slept with Damon because she was in love with him. This is the first time she had ever said this out load to anyone and it surprised her. I might be way off on this, but if this is where the show is going, I think it is pretty cool.

TBH I hope it won't be about 3x22, I wouldn't like for her to be in love with Damon since that time, I'd prefer to stick with the season3 for example, or the end of season2, more believeable

Tecnically we can then, maybe it's better to use spoiler's tags anyway, Australian promos generally are very spoilerish like the canadians, I myself don't plan to watch it, they ruined 3x19 and 4x07 to me
