I love that. You tend to forget how extremely innovative that video was for its time, just cause these days duplicating one person on the screen is such a simple and well known effect. But just imagine, he was one of the first using that effect, no wonder people thought there were ACTUALLY three of him..

always a pioneer, always coming up with new stuff... beyond amazing

(also, I now can't get the thought of there ACTUALLY BEING THREE MICHAELS out of my head......

As much as I love and admire Thriller for everything it did not only for MJ's career but also for music videos in general, I don't think it's the best ever. Nor do I think it's MJ's best video/short film. Then again, I suppose I'm biased in that I don't really like horror movies to begin with, so the whole horror short film thing kinda falls into that category.

Smooth Criminal is still by far my favorite video/short film. Ever.

I agree Jen! Not in the whole horror movie thing, not that I'm hunge fan of horror movies myself, but I mean I agree because I absolutely love Thriller, it is an amazing short film and for everything that it did and all, but Smooth Criminal for me is his best short film ever. No one will ever make a short film just as awesome and incredible as that one.

Thriller revolutionized music videos, so i think its rightful place is no.1 short film of all time (of all videos, not just MJ's).

However, if we are talking about favourites, than my no.1 is Smooth Criminal!!

Thriller isn't my favourite out of his short films, but if someone were to ask me "What do you think is the best music video of all time?" I sure as hell would yell "THRILLER!!!!!!!!"
