A nice comparison but honestly I think both changed for the better in a way. Yes Delilah was paralyzed in the first one which isn't a good thing but she also hasn't let that stop her. A few episodes later she wants to skydive. But just watching 11x12 earlier today Tim was questioning the relationship. He wasn't sure about how serious it was. Abby even went off at him for having those feelings & showed that she supported the relationship (which is big considering she hadn't before & Abby is protective of Tim/comes across as jealous normally). Having Delilah go through what she did seemed to push them together & make Tim see just how much he loved her/what she meant to him. From a terrible thing came a wonderful & necessary step in their relationship. __________________

 though I get the "worst bit" as well, as it could have been a life changing event for the worst as well.__________________

I feel like they meant it was a 'worst thing' though. When it turned out far better than it could've.
