And I started s2... The last season that I haven't recently re-watched...
Tbh Kate tends to annoy me... Compared to Ziva & Bishop she was a bit too much of a know-it-all without enough evidence to back her attitude... I mean she tended to make stupid mistakes too... I watched 2x03 most recently, so far s2 starts of with stronger episodes... The father almost killing his family just to smuggle money out of Pentagon, the bride-searching maniac & the small town drama of fighting like "the Capulets"... Ducky & Palmer working on the meat puzzle on the side is kind of interesting... So far they've 3 bodies... __________________

S2 had some strong starting eps

These days they've different side stories...
So far I'm enjoying s2 far better than s1... Call of Silence was an amazing episode, I've only remembered part of the story... The veteran was a truly a WW2 soldier which added so much context to the episode... You could tell that the emotions weren't fake... __________________

Yeah, a different type, & not necessarily ones which build up over a few eps. Although I guess in a way Gibbs' neighbours have done that this season
I prefer S2 but also could be because McGee is in it Call of Silence is beautifully done  __________________

Yeah, the later seasons had fewer additional plot-lines... When s1 & s2 originally aired there were no rival shows like Criminal Minds or White Collar, so they were allowed to cover more crime types...
These days there are way too many crime investigation related shows, plus LA & NOLA have their own case types too... But I still enjoyed the building up of the Zahar-arch of this season... I agree with you... The Probie makes everything better...  2x12 was hilarious with the doppelganger team... And it was a pleasure to see Don S. Davis in 2x11... I grew up watching SG-1, it's still one of my favourite shows... __________________

 Today I ended up switching from s2 of NCIS to s2 to of JAG... The Meat Puzzle while a well-written episode, it was a bit too much... Mrs Mallard was hilarious with her Corgi, but Ducky almost dying was shocking... Witness with Danica McKeller essentially playing herself was fun, though it was a shame that she got killed... She was almost the perfect match for McGee, her character sort of reminded me of Delilah... __________________

I think there were a few instances later on when the team had to work together with similar teams.. I mean Agent Borin for sure had a Gibbs-like team built up, but it wasn't that obvious...
I still have 7 episodes to go... Loved Kate & Tony the dogs in Caged & 2x15... And Abby & Palmer with the glue were hiliarious too in 2x16... I think I'm going to miss Kate, she's starting to grow on me again... Loved their bickering episode Ducky to provide "couple consulting"... __________________

Somehow she became less annoying by the end of the season...
2x18 - An eye for an eye was disgusting episode all in all... I mean the case itself, and then the fact that they had to blackmail someone higher up to assassin that man in Paraguay... 2x19 - with Kate and Tony trying to blackmail the other with the college / edited photo was fun... Loved the ending where both of them sent the email to Gibbs and tried to leave quietly with Gibbs having a half-smile on his face... __________________

So true...
2x20 continued the college-theme with Gibbs stating that he didn't want to hear about sororities, spring breaks & anything college related ever again... It was once again a slightly hard to digest case... Totally believable yet I was hoping for the geeky guy to be the responsible not the military officer... __________________
