Sam is definitely up to something. Of course, we don't know what time of year the show is in. Because of the strike. Could still be during Kenzie's pregnancy. It's at least a few months after the events of last season.

Alex is at school. Jane is settling back into the job.

Jane knows something is up.

So, I think Jesse will have his fill of the death defying, and ready to go back to normal husband and father routine LOL.

And I take it that we are back to Lucy coming and going this season. It is budgetary with adding LL Cool J. Or does the actress have her side opportunities again?

I can't tell if Sam is up to something or they're just making him very suspicious. He fits in well at least in this episode. But a shame to have him in a few scenes but no Lucy at all. Felt a bit like Kate was filling in for her while still filling her own role.

Hopefully by the end of all of this Jesse's had his fill of dare devil behaviour for a while

True. Just felt they could have used the whole cast, given for a time Jesse was off with the criminals...

He did fit in a little more in this episode. I also thought Kate might be used to fill in for no Lucy in the episode. Obviously, but then I remembered it was a federal money deposit that was stolen. So, it gave her as FBI a little more reason to want to be involved. But it was not as apparent as when on the mothership NCIS, they would also indicate if Fornell or other FBI types were co-assigned to help on a case. She just went the flow, and teamed up to help...

I guess we see if Jesse is finished. The guy who took the money is still out there. But I doubt that Jesse will be looking for that much excitement.

Loved how Jane talked him through flying a plane. I would be freaked too.

She was doing promo for The Chosen It's rumored she won't be in 5 and 7 as well, but not entirely sure yet. However, her story on The Chosen is over, so assuming we get a 4th season, that won't be an issue any longer. Though she does have another show she's doing, but it's a webseries, so hoping it won't be an issue

I agree with you guys regarding Sam, he definitely fit more in this episode. I was thinking his weirdness this episode is leading up to him announcing he's staying in Hawaii since we know it's coming

I didn't think The Chosen & Hawai'i are being filmed at the same time as I was reading that The Chosen wrapped already. Makes sense it'd need promoting though, didn't think of that, but unfortunate that'd also take her away I hope the webseries doesn't take her away too

Maybe. With her being the liaison they probably don't need to ask or announce her helping. She's just there a little like Deeks & Ziva (although I think unlike them she's based with the FBI & just comes over to NCIS to help)
It does make perfect sense why she was there. But I still think she was used to fill the void at the same time. Maybe they wrote it that way so they could use her more? So it was a FBI case to explain her being there lots instead of only a little bit
