I haven't posted on this board yet, but I loved the premiere! It kept me interested and I already can't wait to see where it goes. It seems like the guy who is trying to expose the "Dollhouse" knew Echo before she was an active.
It is interesting how they combine more than one person into one active's personality, and I was really hooked once Echo recognized the abuser. Best scene ... "He said he was a ghost, you can't kill a ghost. He said he was a ghost. But his weight, ghost are sheets with holes." Amazing. __________________

I really enjoyed it! It kept my interest for the whole hour, and I can't wait till next week for it to come on again.
I love Echo, and my favorite scene was the last one, interesting. |

I really loved the premiere. It was a nice introduction to the characters and the Dollhouse.
Obviously Eliza/Echo was the standout star. I like that they had her do two different roles for Echo with the fantasy fullfillment and then as Ms. Smith the hostage specialist. I especially loved Echo as Ms. Smith. That role was a nice illustration of how Echo can feel any deep personal trauma that the person she`s portraying has hidden deep inside, which is something to keep an eye on. Of course her curiousity when she saw Sierra getting inducted into the program was a little foreshadowing about her. The other standouts for me were Agent Paul Ballard, Topher Brink and Dr. Claire Saunders. First of all Agent Ballard is the perfect foil for the Dollhouse with his zealous determination to find out about it and expose it. I have a feeling that this is a very personal mission for him, most likely a past with Echo. Topher is so far one of my favorite characters along with Echo. He has that crazy eccentricness about you can`t help but like. Finally there`s Dr. Claire. Even though we saw very little of her in the episode, she definitely made her presence felt. She has such a great aura of mystery about her that you can`t help but want to know more about her. Overall i thought that the premiere was outstanding. Like i`ve said before, it was a nice introduction that only scratched the surface surrounding the Dollhouse. I can`t wait to see next week`s episode. BTW am i the only one who detected some subtext between Echo and Dr. Claire? Dr. Claire was a little close there with Echo when she examined her. I also saw a little something between Echo and Sierra with the little look they gave each other when they passed each other in the showering area. __________________

I was so confused at the beginning, but it got better especially when she started working on the case. I'm very intrigued and will definitely tune in again! Great pilot but what else can you expect from Joss and Eliza.
