Well, according to wikipedia, Pauline is now living in Scotland and feels very remorseful about what happened. Juliet changed her name to Anne Perry and writes novels about murder mysteries. She's living in Scotland as well.

The curious thing is that Pauline and Juliet never had contact again since the trial.

Well it was part of the conditions put on them when they were released from jail, that they never be in contact with each other ever again.

I think that's the case, yeah. But I don't know if that only applied in New Zealand and not outside of the country.

Someone mentioned how amazed they were that this was Kate's first film. I want to say a big ditto to that. This was a very impressive debut film and performance for her. Very impressive. It is very dark and the final scene can be very disturbing. But it's worth the view.
