Loved their dynamic in the episode

Leonard just can't help but be a sweet daddy to Shelly when he's sad and vulnerable That part of their relationship is so obvious in episodes like these.

I loved that we saw both sides of Leonard.
Firm and standing against Sheldon at first, and then comforting him when Sheldon recognized that he couldn't do the math.

edit : oh wow, I didn't see your message Jane, and it makes me think that Leonard is acting like a real dad with Sheldon

I also loved how genuinely surprised Howard and Leonard were that Sheldon couldn't do the maths. It didn't occur to them that it could actually be too hard for their genius buddy. Never mind all their bickering and wanting to 'whoop the crazy out of him,' they always still have absolute respect for and faith in his intellectual abilities.

It was SO sweet, the way Leonard immediately consoled him and showed understanding. Neither he nor Howard for a second showed any frustration, annoyance or disappointment with Sheldon at that point.

I loved, LOVED all the little bits of advice Leonard was able to give Amy. Shows so much how he understands him, and also just how long he's lived with and taken care of him.

It was also so sweet how Sheldon was somewhat reluctant to leave, and the way he looked back to Leonard as he walked across the hall. There was some emotion there as the moment came to leave his buddy. And then Leonard encouraging him, like 'it's okay,' like a parent seeing their child off to school for the first time.
