It wasn't so much that for me, but more of that was something the show always seemed to hint at was that the two of them would one day come up with something Nobel worthy, and then we DID get the Nobel storyling, but instead of it being between the two best friends and main characters, it of course has to be the married couple because if you're married in TV land you can't possibly have something super significant happen with a platonic relationship.

I'll always be a little bitter about it tbh.

Yeah, I agree.

Plus I like that even though it wasn't Sheldon and Leonard winning it, you still get Leonard being super supportive and wanting to see them win it; there's no bitterness there or anything. They've done other great things together as a team.

If at least they were working on something somehow related to neuroscience (like the paper they were working on at first), I would have buy it.
But super asymmetry is purely physics and Amy has no deep knowledge in physics.

(And also I'm still a pissed off by what Sheldon did to Amy concerning her own research in biology)

Nope Amy doesn`t know much about physics...so that´s why some people said they wanted Leonard and Sheldon to win it ah okay.
