Wow, that is a hectic day, Rae. And I was just thinking about Moyra today, my timehop told me it was the anniversary. It still feels weird for her not to be posting on here, helping Roxanne and I with our podcast, everything she did for the fandom.

She always had such great things to say. She provoked thought, she provided support, she analyzed, she wrote, she was just an absolute gift and those of us that knew her more (some of you definitely were closer to her than I was, but she and I messaged back and forth) knew what a wonderful person she was beyond fandom.

I'm glad both drivers survived. Crash sites can be very scary. I've seen the craziest things.

I'm glad you're okay Rae! And that it sounds like the others involved are okay too. There was a week not too long ago where I passed at least three or four accidents on my way to or from work, and even though I didn't see any of them happening, it was still unsettling.

Crazy addendum to my story: I wrote about the accident of fb and a friend of mine replied saying she was in the car right next to me.

She said she knew what was going to happen so she closed her eyes and then when she looked over at the truck she saw me. How insane is that!? Truth really can be stranger than fiction.

Oh my god I could never close my eyes for fear I'd somehow get in an accident then.

I think truth is stranger than fiction more often than not. Because fiction can only be created from the limitations of the human mind. The real world does not operate under any such restrictions. The real world does what's possible regardless of whether or not we can imagine it.

Same. I mean, we were all stopped at the time, but still! I was too worried the truck would hit me to close my eyes. I needed to know what was going to happen.

This reminds me of when Roxanne and I were talking about the Sheldon spinoff, she was like "I feel like I'll have to just keep watching it like when there's gonna be a trainwreck you can't look away."

Jim said in a recent itw that they had chosen the actor who's going to play Sheldon, I suppose the pilot will be taped during the summer. He also said that he was the one who got the idea of a prequel (which somehow disappointed me a little)

If it's intended to be premiered in the fall, the pilot will be taped within the next couple of months.

And wow yeah I'm kinda disapointed that it was Jim's idea too. But I suppose it does speak to how much he loves the character.

Yeah, this time of the year is known as pilot season, since it's when all the pilots are filmed to be pitched to the networks for next year. Even if it ends up as a midseason replacement, upfront announcements are in May, so the network's gotta have something they can see before then.

And when/where did Jim say it was his idea? I hadn't seen that yet.
