Truthfully I find it better to use episode numbers rather than title abbreviations. There are very few episodes I remember the titles of. And even if you know the title you might not always make the connection. Usually I can and even will remember 2-3 abbreviations of titles so they have to be chosen with care .

I'm leaning towards using episode numbers too. I mean I'd still have to learn them since I don't have them all memorized yet, but at least it's impossible for the show to repeat numbers. There's too many episodes that have the same abbreviations. It confuses me.

Yeah that's right! I can remember season 3 and most of season 1, but I get season 2 all mixed up.

I am a fan of naming them ...the one when Sheldon loses his job..... the one .... I don't remember names of titles and I sure as heck would have no idea what the number was

Oh I like them all but if Kaley left the show for any reason they could very easily just shift back to the show being about these four guys , the science stuff and the nerdy stuff and I honestly think it would survive, but if one of the four guys left I can't see any way the show could really make it. jmho

Kaley was actually the initial thing that drew me into the show, when I randomly joined my friends as they were watching The Panty Piñata Polarization. I remembered her (and liked her) from 8 Simple Rules, so I was curious to see her in a different show. And of course, by that point Penny's character is well established, so I didn't see her as just the girl next door, she was clearly a main character.

The group episodes with the guys are hilarious, but I think it's still important to have the contrast that Penny provides. The show may survive if it was only the four guys, but it wouldn't be as good.

I knew about the show before it aired and was essentially hooked from the very first scene in the Pilot. It was kinda stupid and not that funny but I knew it was my kind of show. It certainly seemed targeted at people like me

Oh I don' think it would ever be as good with any of them gone but I do think that the show could survive without Kaley ( again not as good for me)
We were just talking about if any of them would leave could the show still go on I just don't see the show having the ability to continue with the loss of one of the guys, esp sheldon or Leonard but I do on the other hand think there is enough science, geekness and fab four stuff that could keep the show alive without the girl.

I actually think the show could survive if it lost Raj or Howard. It would throw off the balance for a while, as they worked around it, but I don't think it'd be the end of the series.

On the other hand, I couldn't see it continuing without Leonard or Sheldon.

I actually think that the show could survive easier without Raj or Howard than Penny. Forget the romance because that really wasn't what this show was about. If you removed Penny you would remove the exterior input into their geek world. You wouldn't see the contrast between "normal people" and "geeks". Also they would just merrily live with each other without someone pointing out that things are different for other people. On the other hand if you removed Raj or Howard you just have one stereotypical geek less. You would still have 3 other people who could rave on about the same things the same way.

TBH while I think that Leonard as a personality would be easiest to lose out of the Fantastic Four, I do think that Leonard and Sheldon are the only chars that cannot be lost. You could exchange Penny for someone else and you could lose one of the others but these are the most essential 2. Most of the show happens in their apartment. They have the core friendship around which everything else seems to hover (forget all the BS the writers pulled this season) and either of them heads the A plot. Losing one of them and having the other live alone or get another room mate just wouldn't work.
