This is the same orchestra playing the Loy Krathong song in Bangkok. It's Loy Krathong festival here in Thailand next week. It's to pay respect to the goddess of the water, and people make lotus shaped rafts from candles and flowers which they release into the lakes/rivers etc. Our school is celebrating on Friday this week; I just went and got fitted for a traditional Thai outfit! The kids are all going to (hopefully) wear traditional clothes and we're going to let them make and release their flowers into the swimming pool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eb-lzTh_klA So this week i've been teaching my kids about America, more specifically New York (our topic this term is Around the World  ) So we made Statue of Liberty crowns and torches, and today we paraded around the classroom to Frank Sinatra's New York, New York. Too cute! __________________
