I do really hope he goes. I know he doesn't necessarily care about showing his face at things like this but he should.

I hope he goes too even if it’s just a victory lap with his peers talking about a project that so special to him.

No idea if he's actually going to be at the Critics Choice Awards this weekend but of course it would line up exactly with the Lions game on Sunday night so...Taylor content might have to wait if he is there.

If he doesn’t go, wouldn’t he need someone to accept on his behalf if he wins?

Usually if someone isn't there to accept the presenter of that award just accepts it on the winners behalf.

Was he the only nominee from the show? If so, there won't be a big entourage. Maybe he will take Shelby. I will be disappointed if he doesn't go.

A friend of mine was watching Painkiller and enjoying it. I had to tell that Glenn was Taylor. She didn't even realize.

He is the only nomination from Painkiller. I don't think he'll win but I do just want to see him go, to acknowledge the critics that nominated him because as much as it shouldn't matter, showing up sometimes does make a difference for future nominations. But also to be able to speak about the project that he couldn't promote.

I had a thought that if he went maybe he'd take Shelby. I think at the Critics Choice Awards they sit at tables so I want him with Jesse and Kirstin if he does go.

Uzo received a SAG nomination for Painkiller for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Tv Movie. There is no supporting actor category for limited series so I was not surprised to see Taylor didn’t get a nomination.

That’s fantastic! I think this will bring new eyes to the project.

That’s unfortunate.

Uzo was great and it’s well deserved.

She has a history of winning SAG awards and is a favorite among voters. I knew offhand she'd won a few for Orange is the New Black individually and with the ensemble cast but she's won a total of 5 SAG awards.

It's nice the show will get some recognition there.

And for what it's worth, the award show predictions still have Taylor as a favorite to be nominated for the supporting actor Emmy this fall.

Taylor's odds of winning the Critics Choice Awards...this category is pretty close, no runaway so if there is split voting, you never know.

I added the percentage probability because I hate odds.

MOVIE/MINI SUPPORTING ACTOR
Jonathan Bailey, “Fellow Travelers” — 37/10 (21.28%)
Liev Schreiber, “A Small Light” — 19/5 (20.83%)
Lewis Pullman, “Lessons in Chemistry” — 5/1 (16.67%)
Taylor Kitsch, “Painkiller” — 6/1 (14.29%)
Jesse Plemons, “Love and Death” — 13/2 (13.33%)
Justin Theroux, “White House Plumbers” — 7/1 (12.50%)

Taylor winning would be so great! I'd also love to see him on the red carpet with Jesse. That would make for some great FNL photo ops.

I guess we don't know if he's going to be at the ceremony yet, do we? Far be it from him to give us a little notice.

Truth be told, I was not a fan of Uzo in this project.

I like that he has a chance BUT there’s a lot of great actors here that he has to beat and I’m not confident that can happen. I’m familiar with all of them except for Lewis Pullman but Taylor is being recognized among some great actors and I love that for him. Especially since he was cheated out of promoting this so it feels good that he’s getting credit for doing such a great job.
