We decided over a year ago, that we wanted to convert our DVDs to digital. I bought 2 external hard drives with 5TB each on them. We started converting them, and they didn't convert correctly. I've looked at tons of software, watched youtube video, read countless articles, asked at Best Buy... we've not found anything great yet. I would buy software if it would do want it to do. I need a fantastic program that will save my DVDs to my hard drive. Our intent was to move them and then we could play them through PLEX. I'd still like to do that. I told the minions that all new content needed to be digital. Then we find 5.00 DVDs... I can't win.

Thanks for the info!

We'll have to do a rewatch while it's on there.

January/February are good months for rewatches when I have absolutely no motivation to go out in the cold.

I would be up for an AA rewatch. HBO showed The Normal Heart on Christmas morning. My DVR caught it so of course I had to watch it. Definitely one of my favorite Taylor performances.

I guess Dylan isn't very excited, either.

I haven't seen it yet, so I'll reserve judgment, but I've heard things...

No, it is not good. I was prepared for best actor and best picture, even though I disagree with those too. But 11 nominations is just astoundingly ridiculous. Things like editing and sound! My apologies to anyone who loved it. I know that many people are passionate about it and think it's a great movie with a great message. And so, it's hard not to sound condescending, but I thought it was cynical garbage. Meanness is at its heart, even while pretending to send a message of being kinder and more sympathetic to people. Everyone feels sympathy for Arthur (the Joker character) because he's bullied, yet the audience I saw it with were just yukking it up at all the jokes about a character who's a little person. And it bothers me that they didn't even realize the contradiction. It also directly rips off better movies. You can guess all the plot points and "twists" about 20 minutes before they're revealed. See, I told you I sound condescending! Sorry. It just strikes a nerve, clearly.

Anyway, to get the conversation back to you AA (sorry for my rant! lol)... Did anyone ever find the script online somewhere? Since scripts/screenplays end up online sometimes, I was wondering if anyone ever came across it and whether it had more scenes with Ghost that helped flesh out his character.

I'll have to look around for it. I mean I've obviously read the book, but completely different then the original screenplay for sure. But I wonder how many versions of it there are out there since Taylor was approached for the role years before Dylan landed it too.
