I find it quite funny that the most gorgeous shot of Pacey from that episode is the same shot that has Joey looking super goofy

I mean the showrunners liked it so much they put it in the opening credits.

That was such a great video! Pacey and Joey's slow burn while they fall in love with each other is one of the many reasons S3 is the best season to rewatch. I think it's the season I've rewatched the most, with S4 being right after that.

Love the gifset! Pacey and Joey were such a mature couple and happily in love, they were the best thing about S4. Especially before the end when the season went to crap and they rushed their break up RME.

Ugh, I love them.. But I can't remember but did they ever explain why they want to rush them to break up? I was too young to watch it..

I only remember hearing that they didn't know if S4 would be their last season, so that's why they broke up P/J and rushed the ending with Dawson and Joey kissing. You can just see the shift, after Pacey and Joey first sleep together they start isolating Pacey from the rest of the group then have him go off on Joey and dump her at the prom SMH.

I think it was because they were trying to push a Joey/Dawson relationship and the writers had changed too, so it was just mess at that point. I heard that they thought they suspected that the show may have ended at the end of S4, so they were probably just trying to get back to the original plan of a Joey/Dawson endgame regardless of the fact that they just didn't work on screen. They had zero chemistry unlike Pacey and Joey.
