There's no doubt in my mind that Niall was talking about Eric. Sookie is unsure of Eric's love for her so he was trying to give that extra push. Plus Niall isn't big buddies with Billy.

I would hope Niall was talking about Eric. Sookie already believes that Bill still loves her but she has doubts about Eric so it would make more sense for Niall to say something like that for Eric because he knows Sookie is indecisive when he comes to him.

In the books they never interested me at all. In fact, if Eric had never appeared in the first book I probably wouldn't have bother reading the rest of the books. Bill was never an interesting character for me and the B/S relationship in the books never held my interest at all. It was the first scene with Eric that really got me interested in the books and E/S.

Show wise B/S were just too sappy and pathetic for me to want to root for them. Plus they didn't have hardly any build up before they had sex which I think hurt them because it made there relationship boring a lot faster.

About the books:I find it interesting that she made Eric save Sookie form LongShadow and than sent her flowers and he was still a manor character while Bill who was a major character didn't do pretty much anything for Sookie.Maybe it was some kind of a sign.

CH 90% of the time has Eric always saving her. AB tried to switch that around on the show but it doesn't make Bill endearing at all in my point of view. Another thing I resent about the show is that AB stole Eric moments from the books and gave it to Bill. It just turned me off even more to Bill when that happened because it sad that the only way you can try to make a character popular is by stealing from another character. I would have more respect for the Bill character if they had done there own thing with him.
