Sorry, BlueUniverse. What I meant was that the peacoat is for the timeline of season 3. Since they are not in that timeline in season 4, he has to have a new one indicative of this new timeline that he will be appearing in. Maybe?

I'm probably totally wrong, and eventually the peacoat will return. LOL.

I expect him back in the next episode. After all, it's ep no. 4, and that number has been playing a BIG role in the promos. But we'll probably just get a teasing look at him in the last seconds, and then they'll leave us hanging another week to find out more. I only hope they'll continue to show the new eps back-to-back, it would be so cruel if we had to wait an extra week or even more.

"Soon" better mean by episode 4 or 5. I can't bear much more of Peter, the desperate ghost OR Lincoln by Olivia's side instead of the peacoated Peter. "Fringe" has been watchable, but not compelling in this new timeline without Peter. I want him B-A-C-K already!

They like to draw out things A LOT. Soon for them could mean half a season.

The Lincoln by Olivia's side is a permanent thing, I'm afraid.

Peter will definitely be back in one or two episodes; I'm sure next episode he will start manifesting himself, and maybe we'll fully see him in the last scene of the episode.

Catherineusa, I agree with you that the ghost is becoming too much; Peter is desperate to go home and we don't know how he's feeling.

Do we know if there will be a hiatus soon?

Someone mentioned a 2-week hiatus after next episode, but I don't know if that's official :shrug:

I hope it isn't true. :cry: It would be just cruel to have a hiatus after the first episode we get Peter back, especially if it ends up being like Andrea specs with him in the very last seconds of the ep.

If he's back in the next episode, it will be in the last few seconds. That's how TV works.

Now the question is if they are going to give a good reason to bring him back, because all they are showing how much better this timeline without Peter is and how everyone except maybe Walter are doing much better without him. Strange.

Now you see, i don't think this timeline is better without Peter at all. Walter is lonely and agoraphobic, and Olivia has gotten acustomed to a "hole" in her life. Faux even pitied Olivia's sad, lonely life. Course, I prefer Olivia to Bo any day, but Olivia is sad. The Blue Fringe team has lost their family feel. And, if nothing else, my tv screen has lost its best eye candy. I need some Peter Bishop one-liners.

I agree Catherineusa. I think that with Peter, Walter had this purpose to know his son again and to reconnect with his family. With Peter, Olivia was learning to trust and rely on someone, to open herself up to someone. Without Peter, this is gone and we are left with lonely Walter and sad Olivia. And even tho we have the addition of Lincoln to the team, I see Lincoln more as a Charlie figure than a Peter figure. Peter's role was unique to Walter and Olivia.

I can't see how things will go back to where they were, when Peter turns up. They are not going to know who he is and when he tells them, I can see them not accepting who he is and what he represents for awhile.

The relationships will be different for P/O and P/W. It's sort of like going back to square one, except Peter knows who they are and has alot of history with them, even if they were from a different timeline.

I suppose we will just have to see how the writers incorporate Peter into the mix, but it wouldn't surprise me if he stays on the periphery for much of the season, as he won't be working with Olivia on cases as Lincoln is now filling that position. He will probably be brought into the mix now and again, especially if his knowledge from the other timeline comes into play with cases.

Walter is worse off without Peter, you're right about that, but not Olivia. She has mentioned a hole in her life, but it doesn't reflect onscreen and she seems much better now, friendlier and she's wearing colors and make-up, which means she's happier.

What I ask for is something tangible. Without him Altbroyles is alive and Olivia's stepdad is dead, which is positive. Where are the negative consequences of a Peterless world, other than Walter? :confused:
