I think Ravenswood was more the actual spin-off but TLG did come out first and when it first came out, that's what it was being called

No, they didn't share any of the same characters. The only real similarities are that they were both written and produced by the same execs and had the whole "mystery" theme to them..Other than that, TLG was very much it's own show.
PLL is much more teenish though whereas TLG focused on the adults just as much as the teens __________________

That's such a pet peeve of mine. The same happened on Str crossed, it drives me mad when they leave everything in the air..

I know, same here. I absolutely hate it, especially on mystery shows because the whole basis of what the show was about gets completely left up in the air..But really with all shows, I feel like when they find out it's not coming back they should change the ending as much as they can so that things aren't left so unresolved.
