I love Naomi and Max's relationship. They are so supportive of each other and so real. at her telling him about her lucky thong. I'm kind of torn over the fact that she applied to BU to be close to him and he applied to caltec for her. On one hand, it's sweet..on the other hand, not cool with people following others across the country or staying somewhere for someone else. Doesn't always work.

Annie is so discreet. "Do you want tea...are you thinking about killing yourself?" I feel bad about the end of this episode. It's horrible that she had to find Marla like that.

Marco works at Jersey Mikes? That is so awesome. Love that place..their tuna is the best. (SN: They go to a private school? West Beverly is a private school?)

Ooh, Jen is back. That's not a good thing. I totally understand Ryan being upset. You don't leave your baby when the going gets rough and then come back when the timing is good for you.

I feel so bad for Silver. This is so cruel of Adrianna. I'm glad she has people like Navid and Dixon for her. I wanna flick a rubber band at Adrianna (not the violent type)

Was it just me or did the wardrobe tonight remind anyone else of an Austin Powers movie? Especially Annie and Naomis.

Loved the scenes between Silver and Dixon. I forgot how cute they used to be. Silver broke my heart..she looked so lost and depressed. I'm happy she had Navid and Dixon there for her. But where the heck is Kelly? If Kelly isn't there for her sisters intervention..i'm sure she's never coming back..which sucks.

Max and Naomi are sweet but I don't know how good of an idea it was to give up his dream college.

I'm glad we finally got a Dixon/Silver scene, god knows how much I miss s1 when they used to be good!

I was hoping it was a coalition of all the West Bev girls to get her in there so she'd stop going after their exes and boyfriends. Nope, it was the one chick who doesn't even go to school anymore. Fail.

Episode starts off with a stable couple lovingly walking down the hall. That's how you know they're extras.

Naomi sharing the contents of her pants. Max has probably seen the thong by now, but was none the wiser. Geek is the NEW chic. Everybody should have one because nerds need love, Naomi. Nerds need love.

Here's Silver's harem of men in the middle of the cafeteria. It's a great harem too. One's a jerk, one doesn't do jack, and the other one's just not into her anymore. I fully expect Liam to join next year although he'd probably eat that sandwich because a brother's gotta eat. She offers them ice cream so they won't notice her awful hair. Hey-oh!

Baby Jack looks a lot like Jen. Ryan and Jen as parents...poor kid. He's going to grow up loving Aunt Becky a LOT more.

Here comes Teddy bopping along to bluegrass music in his blue T-bird. They're going to LaCienega? LaCienega just smiled.

Stripes McGhee looking like a sad chocolate bar today. Ugh, this scene is painful. I still like Marla/Annie, but the dialogue is just so painful. "How dare you!" "Why would you do thaaaaat?" Luckily the actress who plays Marla pulls off most of it. I almost wish one of them, namely Marla, would've stormed off. Instead they just kind of wimped out on everything and had her immediately forgive Annie. Dawson's Creek kind of did a good plot like this with Dawson and an aging film director/actor. Their build-up and the pay-off were a lot better. They extended the tension by more than one scene. Ugh, this storyline could be much better than it is, just like most of Annie's storylines.

Mr. Perfect, my guacamole. This chump can't comfort anybody for beans. What he could've done is talked to Kelly, if she existed. Her bipolar episodes are nowhere near as good as they were in season 1. And honestly, and you can call me heartless or whatever, but I could care less that she didn't get into NYU because of Ade's meddling. She writes herself as a victim every time and she did that long before Ade and her were friends. I'm talking all the way back to her blogging days when she jumped on Christina for doing nothing. I can almost guarantee she'll blame Navid for something next year even if they stick this out.

I'm giving up trying to understand if Teddy can play tennis or not. These writers...Marco shoots down Teddy. I enjoy that despite thinking they should give it a go. But trust issues!!!

It was nice of Annie to get Marla out on the town. They need a break from that ugly wallpaper.

Naomi got into CU!!!!! Yes, something good happens to somebody I like in this episode. I like that she and Max jumped on the bed together. No, I mean, like literally jumped on the bed. Max gets into MIT. Yay.....or nay, depending on how you look at it. Forget statistics! I want them to stay together!

Dixon eating a sandwich and reading comics like a normal teenager...it was like he was waiting to take part in any storyline. Don't worry, Dixie. Rebecca will keep you waiting after this ep.

Ryan's boring. Thank God Naomi showed up in this stinker of a storyline. Product placement for video chat? Reminds me of the good old days. Jack looks like he wants to run while Jen holds him. She probably smells of teenage boy musk. Then the boy reaches up to Ryan's neck as if to choke him. This kid's already sick of these two. Who can blame him?

Teddy's apparently the only guy who can be friends with girls, and that didn't even happen until he wasn't a ladies' man. UGH. And this scene makes me want fruit so I'm doubly mad.

"Trust him until he gives you a reason not to." Hmmm. Remember when you laid into Liam when you caught him with Emily in the dressing room, Annie? Yeah.

Awww, Naomi wants to try. Max, kill it with the Black Ops! I don't even know what Black Ops is. And Naomi, you know I love you, but your handwriting is bad.

Wow, Naomi and Liam talked again. That makes four seconds. Marla's tired of these teens. I probably would be like her if I had to spend more than two hours with most of them. Ivy's smirk after Marla's snark was awesome. Yay more normal teenagers! Marla instantly smiles.

Fashion commentary time...

Annie looks good out of stripes.
Ivy's dress is cute and she looks like a flower child.
Naomi looks like an assassin's mistress, which means she looks the best.
Liam's hair has enough product to fill a tank.
Raj is just lucky to be there.

Teddy, you can go over and offer to pick up those trash bags. I guess it reminded him of raking leaves with Ian so he got the heck out of there.

So Jen went to therapy and wants to be Jack's mom again? I can't fault her for that. But I can fault the music in the background. I started singing "Buffalo Soldier" and that made the scene far more bearable.

Dixon knows where Silver's spare key is. Suck it, Shirazi! Tristan's smile lights up a room. Just being by Dixon makes this chick way more likeable.

This piece of high art looks like a student-made film of Austin Powers. If this was real life, some kids would've thrown some Goobers at the screen. Lucky Dixon wasn't there, because I'm sure Rebecca would've had him eat the Goobers and lick some spilled soda off the floor.

Has anybody seen Marco? Does anyone remember Marco from before the hiatus? The answer is the same to both.

The plot thickens. Movie Jack gets taken away to the land of 2011 because he wants a better acting job. He eventually ends up playing the villain in a made-for-TV Lifetime movie like most guys his age.

"If there's one person who can benefit from therapy, it's Jen." Aunt Becky, you met Adrianna, right?

Marco makes sandwiches. That just bumped him on the hotness scale for me. I'd just go in for a pack of mustard if he was behind the counter. Teddy/Marco is better than half the couples on here. Plus he can show Teddy how to make a panini.

Ivy's the only good dancer in this mug. Good night. Liam acts like he has a broom up his back.

Finally some decent music in this ep! It would take follow Naomi to get it. Max shows up looking dapper and shred his tie for Naomi.

Silver might not deserve Dixon (depends on who's watching), but I really want them to get the second chance they almost got in s2. Liomi, Navianna? They got theirs. Tristan does a better job with the material, and there's something beautiful in between the lines he does only with Stroup. IMO, there's still something there they can mold. Of course this is ruined by Navid and some guy in the background with a wheelchair. Man! Just break them up already. Him checking her into a ward is just over-the-top. This year, Navid's gestures just come off as self-righteous whatever girl he's helping. Dixon= hero. Navid= annoying.

Max giving up MIT for Naomi. Normally, I would want him to go, and I'm very pro choosing your individual dreams over a relationship but I can't lose Max to MIT. I just can't. So whatever strings they need to pull, start yanking.

But seriously, what is with Rebecca and observatories?

"It's like letting a vampire in." Shut up, Ryan, with your seagull-fighting, fire-starting, drugged up self. I hope Jen breaks your iPad or whatever it is over your blown up head.

They need to stop dressing Debs like a cougar. I almost expected her to come in with a martini.

Sneaky Adrianna comes in like death with a hot body. I almost expected her to smother Silver's face with a pillow. Kelly not being there is ridiculous. Then we could've had an EPIC Kelly/Adrianna fight. Then Sammy could come out of the Land of Missing Children and walk in with a bowl of popcorn to watch while Navid could go home to Bernstein, who needs his shoulder rubbed.

The last Marla/Annie scene was sweet, but it was quite predictable that she died. Still sad, but predictable.

J. Low totally pulls off every facet of Ade, and she manages to inject facets into very biased writing. I'm really golad that she didn't slip him a roofie though. Letting him get drunk and crawling up on him isn't good, and I'm not sure where that's going to go, but we don't need any other drugs in this mess of a situation Rebecca has placed three great actors into...UGH.

Some of the plots were so bad soap operaish, mainly N/A/S. I want to see some real teenagers and real problems, STAT, because the first half of the season did that very well. That's also why I don't retch everytime Max/Naomi are onscreen, because going away to college is a fairly normal problem. The Annie storyline...needed some length because it could've been much more powerful. The plots didn't involve any parents at all, which is ridiculous, especially two teenagers checking Silver in without permission. I thought we'd have a little bit more touch-and-go with Marco/Teddy so I was also disappointed in that. And no Bernstein.

So yeah, basically one of my least fave eps. C-.
