How about a new game?

We all know how people tend to mess up expressions in every day conversations or interviews.. and how funny that sometimes ends up sounding?

How about we play a game where we all slightly alter an expression. The next person can respond to it in equally 'twisted' fashion.

For example:

Well, my brother was construction worker until the accident he had. It's really the last stone that breaks the camel's back you know?

Next person:

Oh tell me about it. Last night I dreamt like a log because I was exhausted from our renovations in the house.

Next person:
I had fun too.. We were taking a long walk but couldn't see the logs for the trees in the end. Then it started raining men and dogs on top..

Next person:
Well you know, it never rains but it hails..

And so on.. Clear?? Or???
Come and play!!


Ps No need to add italics or anything to the word(s) that is/are wrong, I merely added them to clarify.

I'll get us started:

I really hope I'm getting an ipad for x-mas but my mom always told me to never turn my nose up to a gift horse and just be thankful..

Speaking of Mars, I'd love a big trip. Unfortunately that would cost a pretty pound I am already feeling pinched in my bottom.

Me too, but sometimes it's definitely a case of: if you can't take the heat get out of the disco.
Some people just don't know when to quit while they are coming to a head.

That's true. There's also so many people who think of the bowl half empty rather than half full.
