I watched the first two seasons of Dexter but I do'nt know, the lack of empathy bored me..But this season is amazing and this is because of this relationship mostly.

I couldn't ship Rita/Dexter because, they were looking cute for sure, but that didn't look real. Luman knows really who is he, what he is doing.This is real and Dexter feels something for her. I know he has feelings for Rita, but I always seen it as a cover. With Luman, it's the opposite.Be with her is not a plan or something, he just like to be with her...This is really romantic (can't believe I'm actually talking about two serial killers )

I started watching too when the show first started but I stopped for the same reason. I couldn't get past the first few episodes.

I agree. A big part of why I like them is because she brings out a more emotional side from him.

Word, I love how natural him and Lumen are, it wasn't a ploy, it wasn't a cover, it was him genuinely wanting to find more about her out and falling for her, as she did with him!

Hi I was wondering if you could add me too please? I've always been a fan of Dexter, but never really shipped him with anyone. IDK I just never really cared for him andRita, no offense to anyone who did, but I agree with what everyone's saying. It felt fake like he had to do it. With Lumen it's more natural, he even said that. Rita could only accept the parts of him that he showed, Lumen accepts all. I swear who would have though 2 serial killers would be one of the most romantic, sweet, and profound relationships on tv I haven't been this obsessed with a tv couple since Michael/Sara from PB. I can't wait to see what happens and hope that Lumen will be back for S6.

Lumen is great for Dexter. I was hesitant to ship them at first due to Rita, but Dexter and Lumen have a connection. I'm really happy that they both have each other. I'm interested in seeing how their relationship will play out.
