We know her happiness will probably last like 3 months at most and be over.

I never understood Noah/Marissa being dropped to recurring and packed away off-screen considering they were quite a popular pairing to a majority of fans. Also as you said Noah actually stands up to Victor instead of cowering at his feet like the other sycophants.

You know, you can't have characters standing up to Victor Newman for too long.

You mean they have never show her getting help or being able to move forward from this? That's not good storytelling, that's just putting someone through torture.

They've shown her getting help but it was always a plot point for something else. So it was never about growth or Sharon getting help. The writers have been torturing her character for years. They've taken away do many of her relationships. Have made her the outsider countless times & she gets attacked by characters that have done worse. It's depressing.

My wishlist for the character in 2017:

1) Character growth
2) Sharon getting help
3) Happiness
4) A story away from The Newmans

This is what makes me so angry about soaps. They put these characters through such hell and then they don't actually let them get treatment. Because that is considered boring and not a good story. I mean they will let them get one every so often because it's for a plot point and not for the mental, emotional, or physical health of the character.
