BTW apparently Cameron had an event recently and said he's working on a Christmas movie with him and .... Laura Wright. I would like to see one with Esta but oh well.

He'll probably make one with Rebecca Budig, who just made a Christmas movie for CBS, before he makes one with Esta :( And the sad thing is she'd be willing, but I guess these producers never think of her.

I think she was doing all those interviews this year to try and get noticed by GH or another soap, but nothing has come from it yet and she hasn't done am interview since June. I'm hoping she's just taking the summer off and didn't give up.

I actually had an opportunity to meet Cameron and Laura last weekend. They were doing an event only 30 minutes from my house and I thought about going, but as much as I like him, I have no interest in them together, and I couldn't fake enthusiasm to meet her. I'm also not into their storyline on GH. It's kinda boring and I don't see chemistry between them.

Yes, that's where I got the info from, someone who was there said Cameron had told her he's going to produce the movie too. Sounds like he has some sway with the new GAC network. That's interesting that it was near you. I would've probably had the same conflicted feelings about going.

I might have gone if I had someone to go with but none of my friends were ever soap watchers.

Im curious why Cameron has jumped shift from Hallmark to GAC. Maybe because he's getting to produce. I hope he pushes to cast Esta in one, but I'm not holding my breath. He's probably just going to cast Rebecca Budig cause there good friends.

GAC is new and has been taking a lot of Hallmark's actors. I'm assuming they're paying more and like you said there's the opportunity to produce. Cameron would be a rockstar if he put in a good word for Esta. We know they want to work together again.

I would kill to see Esta act again and I'm still hoping but she's an almost 50 year old woman and hasn't done any major acting in 20+ years. It would be really difficult for even the biggest of stars to come back. :sigh:

I'm not really sure. But from the little tidbits I got from her interviews this year, it seems she left AMC because her husband at the time work took him to LA, and she was hoping to break into bigger things out there, but sadly nothing came of it. I think she got discouraged and stopped acting.

I feel like if there were more soaps it wouldn't be as hard for her to make a comeback, but there are only 4 now, and she is so unique with her accent. There probably aren't many characters written with accents.

Currently I think you are correct. There might actor's with southern accents, but no other ones I think at this time.

I only half watch GH and there are a few European characters on there so I was hoping maybe they would create something for Esta so she could be on the same show as Cameron, but it's been over a year and nothing has happened.

I'm not sure how long Cameron will stay on GH. He has a new show coming on that GAC channel and his character on GH isn't overly well received. The problem is its a recast character and fans feel like he's playing Ryan Lavery not the GH character he's supposed to be playing.

I feel like ever since AMC and OLTL got cancelled so many years ago, that GH became a graveyard for those shows for their actors to come on and basically play the last character they played on those shows. I don't fully know what's going on with GH now (or any soap cause I stopped watching them ages ago) but I just remember when OLTL got cancelled, they got RC and he was forcing all these crossovers with OLTL characters like he couldn't accept that damn show was over. So I'm not surprised it kind of sounds like that is still kind of going on.

I guess. I was only hald watching AMC in the last decade and from what viewers are saying he's playing the character more like Ryan after Gillian died. When he was in everyones business and very self righteous. The character he's playing was a marine and held captive for years and had an edge to him. There not getting that with Cameron's portrayl. Most of his scenes are just him going around town giving everyone advice. It might not be Cameron's fault. It could be the writing.

The should of had Cameron be a new character and not a recast. He deserves that. He's a pretty big name in soaps.

She is not acting though these days I believe.

I think she made it clear in her interviews from this past year that she would like to start acting again, but this wouldn't be acting. It's more of a reality self help kinda show.
