Agreed.
It was a sad end for them...but I saw it coming...I mean it was alarming...the way she talked about her ex... But it's sad and I felt so bad for Ted...but good he had his friends around him... But I loved the what if sequence...them as a family...blond kids.  __________________

 I know they are over but last episode Ted got really angry when Doug mentioned that it was no wonder that Stella left him...we saw a glimpse of angry Ted. Do you think he has recovered already or that we will see him suffer a bit more. I mean he wasn't really sad for that long after the break up (remember him after the break up with Robin and with the "stages" he was going through?  ) and I somehow feel, we will get to see him struggle some more.  __________________

I don't know... I guess he was with Robin a lot longer so if you go by the many theories on the show, he should take less time to get over Stella. I wonder if maybe they did this specifically to shake Ted out of his Stella funk so that they could get on with the rest of his life, since she's not the mother.
I'd love to see her back one day though. There's no reason she couldn't reappear randomly for an episode or two, knowing this show! __________________

I can't wait to find out why she was there too! I was really surprised she was the one tapping on Ted's shoulder in the last episode. Makes me wonder...

I think it's great that Stella's instrumental in how Ted meets the mother...even though we have yet to figure out how. But I did love that conversation they had in her car at the end of As Fast As She Can

I love, love, love that we got this episode. Happily Ever After just wasn't enough in terms of closure for me, and it has redeemed Stella as a character for me in a lot of ways. Now I can go back watch Ted and Stella's happy episodes without hating her!
