I don't mind football at all, I just can't get through the pilot but after your recommendations I have to. Damages - is this the one with Glenn Close? Is it any good? __________________

I'm mega happy about Dexter noms, especially since they weren't sure if it should get any nods because of all the blood (). I'm also happy GA didn't get anything Other than that some of those are such bullcraps. The actresses categories? It's like this year's Emmy trend is big screen people going small screen. Oh please.
And I can't believe Monk got a nom. Every year it gets nom I'm discovering that the show is actually still airing... |

Yep, Damages is the one with Glen Close. Glen and Ted Danson were fabulous on the show. It was a cool premise and super suspenseful. I'm curious to see how they will do a second season though.
Yep, yay for Dexter! I agree about the actress categories......whatever. __________________

Also I love Hugh Laurie but this season House really wasn't all that... Jon Hamm better get that Emmy or I'll be pissed.

Hugh Laurie is always brilliant, but I don't think the show itself is anything brilliant.
Plus I think the same shows and actors getting nominated and/or winning all the time gets old............even when they're ones I like or love. __________________

Maybe I will give Damages a try then.
So Mad Men, FNL and Damages are on my list...after HIMYM, Bones and Pushing Daisies. And it was supposed to be a summer without watching hundreds of episodes. Hugh Laurie is great, I haven't seen House, well 2-3 episodes maybe but I think that every show should have the max of 3 seasons because above that it's usually just crap... Me...I will always associate him with Jeeves and Wooster. __________________

I'm always saying I'm going to cut down on shows or take breaks during hiatuses or the summer, but there's no point............I'm always getting sucked into something and adding things to my list.
House tends to be pretty repetitive IMO.......it's a formulic show though so that's not surprising. I really only watch it for Hugh and for Robert Sean Leonard and their friendship on the show. I've never seen Jeeves and Wooster. __________________

Damages is a very good show. I can't wait for it to come back.
Super glad about NPH and the Mad Men and Dexter accolades but I'm continually disappointed that they overlook Matthew Fox in Lost, he's tremendous on that show. Glad about Michael Emerson, though. You have a list too, Mel? I want to see yours... __________________

Mandy I'm excited for Season 2 of Damages too. I'm sure they have cool things planned.
Michael Emerson is just amazing. Very well deserved nom. Matthew Fox does a great job. I do have a list. It's incredibly long. Paula - Thanks. I used to not like any British shows. But, i'm slowly getting into a few. __________________

I have a list as well and the people on my S60 board make fun of me for it.
I am surprised about Monk and 2 and a 1/2 Men which I've seen and don't find very funny. My dad loves it though. __________________

Jeeves and Wooster was cool! I also loved A Bit of Fry and Laurie. Actually anything Brit Hugh Laurie did was brilliant.
I better not comment on Matthew Fox |

Paula - I did get into Doctor Who and Torchwood both this past year. I'm a fan of both.
Mandy - That's cute. I get made fun of on my boards for that too. I don't like Monk or Two and a Half men. Boston Legal has had it's moments, but so does not deserve to be nominated yet again over shows like FNL. It has gotten beyond cartoonish. And yes James Spader is good, but come on, yet another nomination and win will irritate me to no end. I've got some love for 30 Rock now which I didn't have last year. Poor Matthew...............he gets such a rough time. __________________

I haven't watched 30 Rock yet. On my list but I wasn't in the mood...
Ugh I won't comment on Boston Legal. Monk is one of those shows I catch up when I'm visiting my mother and there's nothing else on telly. She loves it. It's entertaining but hell, I'd never consider it award material |
