Effy (Kaya Scodelario) has a dead end job as a receptionist for a leading London Hedge Fund. But as she stumbles across crucial financial information relating to a troubled deal and embarks on an affair with her wealthy boss, she finds out that she has bitten off more than she can chew. Her flatmate Naomi (Lily Loveless) tries to stop Effy from ruining her life, but Effy cannot be reached; until tragedy strikes.

Yeah, you should, because I am neck deep in writing articles and it's really important because I applied to actually have a salary adult job there, and it's my first job opportunity in months, so I want to look really good

Thanks! I mean there is very little chance that I'll actually get it and of course the start date is literally a week before my surgery, so I'm nervous that that will impact my early performance and I'm trying to overcompensate for that possibility right now

It's a position to be a full-time assistant editor for the online feminist magazine that I'm a writer for. It's an entry-level job, but who knows what experience the other applicants will have, and there should be loads since it's the first full-time paid feminist position based online and they got 200 applications in three days for the part-time social media position they posted.

Luckily I have known the founder and the editors for about a year and a half since I did an internship there last summer and they couldn't be nicer or more understanding. Still, I feel really uncomfortable about it, especially since I had initially asked for a break from writing to recover and now I'm like "oh wait nevermind I'll totally be fine way faster than I thought!" Because I don't want them to rule me out just because of the surgery.
