It was the same when Gideon left.

I think Reid believes there should have been something he should have done, somehow he should have been better, to prevent them from leaving. Like his father had physically, and his mother mentally. It's hard to accept sometimes things happen over which we have no control.

) I wish he'd open up more to the members of the team and let him know how he feels a bit. They're not just working together, they all practically live together. Everyone should know where everyone else stands.

I hope Gideon gets back in touch at some point - even if we just see an email sent to Reid, so that he knows that people may leave the BAU, but not him. The team has got his back and he can trust in them. I think he was starting to learn that and open up, but Gideon leaving has shaken that belief again.

I love that scene (I forgot the title of the episode when Garcia forced Reid to get of his arse and have a night out with her. It was the same episode when he was quoted to have said, "I know what it's like to be afraid of my own mind."

That was what I thought as well. That he couldn't handle Reid's mom's illness and so he bailed.
