Carrie Underwood: I'm Getting Hate Tweets About My Sound of Music Role Carrie Underwood is already facing scrutiny for her role in The Sound of Music and the live special hasn't even aired yet. The American Idol winner explained that she's been on the receiving end of a slew of hurtful tweets from people who are criticizing the casting decision. "I get hate tweets and stuff like, 'You're not Julie Andrews!'" Underwood told Entertainment Weekly. "I know I'm not Julie. Nobody is and I would never pretend that I was…I know my place." And while some of the musical's most die-hard devotees have their reservations (to say the least), Andrews herself has spoken out in support of Underwood. "Fifty years later, it's time somebody had another crack at it. I had the best time of my life doing it and it did wonderful things for me," she said to Zap2it. "I think it's great that it's being done again, but doing it live must be so daunting." Underwood will be starring along True Blood's Stephen Moyer (as Capt. Georg Von Trapp), Laura Benanti (as the Captain's former fiancée Elsa Schrader), Private Practice's Audra McDonald (as Mother Abbess) and Smash star Christian Borle (as Max Detweiler). The Sound of Music, Live! will air Thursday, Dec. 5 on NBC.

I had no idea there was a making of SOM special last night, totally would have watched it Glad it is on you tube at least

Carrie looked adorable at the parade this morning, wish she would have performed though. A couple members of the cast sang the "I am sixteen going on seventeen" song, she introduced them.

Looks like I need to try and pick up a copy of TV Guide Love how much they are doing to promote it
