And it was a guest they have never seen, not one of the principals. So they didn't care. Ha! Not a funny matter at all, but they made me laugh inside with everything they did. LOL!

It will be during my summer break. I know it'll be winter in Australia. I am excited about that because, although it is just for 3 weeks, Texas summers are miserable and I'm looking forward to a little relief. Very hot here in summer!

That's when I thought it would be
Yeah I think you Summers are like ours when it comes to heat, but possibly without the high humidity levels? Either way having a relief is good. I'd like one right about now come to think about it Our winters are very mild so while it probably will still be a relief for you it won't be cold. We can still get days of 25°C (77°F) sometimes but usually its around 15-20°C (59-68°F). Not sure if that'd be warmer than what your winter normally is? __________________

Oh wow. That's good to know. I didn't think to check the temperature of those places. Our winters can get down to about 32F or so. Sounds like I can wear a t-shirt then. Awesome! I'll need to look up New Zealand as well.

I can wear a t-shirt & cardigan some days, others I need a long sleeve under my t-shirt so you probably could just have a t-shirt
New Zealand does get colder. What part/s are you going to there? __________________

Alright, sounds good. I didn't check where exactly in New Zealand because I don't know anyone in New Zealand that could give me a little information on those places.
I will bring a jacket then for the colder days and I think I will be okay. I get hot easily [explain to me why I live in Texas, ha] so when the temperature is in the mid to high 60s, I am always just in a T-shirt. It will be much relief because in Texas during the summer, it is over 90F and often days go over 100F. Thus, MUCH relief. Just wish I could stay more than 3 weeks. __________________

Well you may wish to check where to check the weather at least then . I've been there but I couldn't tell you about it really
Why do you live in Texas then? I'd say if you get hot easily you'll be find in a t-shirt with just a light jacket just in case here __________________

Dad's work brought us here. And I currently just have a Texas teaching certificate. I would have to take more exams to work in other states. I think about moving further up north, but it snows way too much in some places and I'm not sure I'd love it after a while. Just to visit (like this Christmas) is plenty. We used to live in Montana (my sister was born there) and it snowed like year round.
At least during the summer here, there is air conditioning everywhere. I choose to just stay home and inside [at a store, movie theater, etc.] most of the time. My family is fine with the set temperature on the AC unit in the house, but I have an extra big fan in my room. And I survive on ice cream. I also like opening up the fridge and feel the coolness. Yeah, I am not looking forward to summer weather. I am excited about Australia and New Zealand though! I do like Texas other than the heat though. Winter feels nice! It gets too cold for my sister, but I LOVE IT. Yeah, I'll look at the temperature to the places we're going to in New Zealand. From what I remember, there are a few places there, whereas Australia is just Sydney so easier to remember. __________________

Year round snow would be a lot of snow . I feel like no matter where you live, there's always something you can find 'wrong'. Sucks that you'd have to do further exams to work in other states but I suppose at least that's all & its not a whole new qualification
Good plan for summer . Unfortunately for me where I live doesn't have air conditioning. I have a fan but I don't like it & find it only really cools in the space its facing . Better than nothing though I'm sure you'll love skipping 3 weeks of summer Australia's probably too big to move around on __________________

I remember most days walking through the snow to get on the bus. We had a few months of snow relief. But those days are not as memorable, haha. In Texas, on rare occasions where we get some snow/ice, school is canceled or delayed. I understand though - we are less prepared to handle bad weather here. I've shoveled snow from driveways and not missing it. Snow is just cool to look at.
Yes, we just have to pass the state's specific assessments/tests for teachers. And I consider myself a good test-taker, so I am not afraid if I end up moving for whatever reason. No air conditioning sounds miserable. That's the same in China - no central air conditioning. That's why I rarely go to China to visit. Good to know I probably couldn't live near you in Australia. Days where it is 77F there, I'd need AC. Ha! I am spoiled. And just a fan actually does very little when the room is super hot. Feels like just warm air coming out. Those will be the best three weeks of my summer. __________________

That's understandable. I think that if Sydney gets snow it shuts down too but that's once in a blue moon for that to happen . Snow is better to look at than be in. I've lived where it had light snows so it was ok but having to walk around & be in it too much its just cold. I can't imagine living somewhere with proper & decent amounts of snow - let alone snow for months & months. I miss snow & living where it is cold enough to get snow though
China doesn't have air conditioning? What? Are they crazy? Air conditioning is good... I don't know if its just I happen to not have air conditioning in this place or the first place I rented here or the area. I live in what can be considered a more affluent & desirable area of Sydney, but then the industry I work in is one of the lower paid industries so I've got to work with what life has handed me. That or try find a new job in a cheaper location to live . As soon as I start looking for places to rent around here with air conditioning though they go out of my price range. I mean I could probably pay more for rent but I don't want too much over half of my pay to go to my rent (it already almost is half my pay), it just doesn't seem right to me . So I sacrifice having air conditioning for now __________________

My dad makes a decent amount so we had separate air conditioning units in each room. It's expensive so parents order us to turn it off when we leave a room. In China, air conditioning is more of a luxury. It is such a hassle though.
