That's ok. There is no rule it has to be 10.

I will do mine now:

What Is On My Summer Reading List:

1) Finish Emma for June book club

2) Start Persuasion for next book club

3) Finish Midnight Sun

4) Maybe select another Betty Neels

That's all I'll have time for. "It Was A Short Summer Charlie Brown!"
I used to have that book somewhere.

I like that you're being realistic with your list. Summers are always short.

1. Dark Waters (Small Spaces #3) by Katherine Arden

2. Persuasion by Jane Austen

3. The Martian by Andy Weir (Audible has it free until 9/3)

and these are downloaded on my Audible waiting to be read
4. Will My Cat Eat my Eyeballs
5. Orphan Train
6. The Jane Austen Society
7. Station Eleven
8. The Women in the Castle
9. My Calamity Jane
10. Deathless

I'm not going to be ambitions and do a lazy list.

1. Finish Emma.

2. A Universal History of the Destruction of Books: From Ancient Sumer to Modern-Day Iraq
by Fernando Báez, Alfred J. MacAdam (Translator)

And that's all I know right now. I'm not planning that far ahead again because I never follow it.

Good lists. I only have 6 weeks off from school, and I always have a lot
to do during that time.

I sense a common Emma theme here Good luck guys and most importantly, read whatever you feel like!

I'm gonna go a bit off the rails and do last week's list as well

June 8: Books That Made Me Want To Read More Books Like Them
1. Wild by Cheryl Strayed. I loved loved loved this book. It has made me read more memoirs in general and made me want to read more books about going on long hikes/adventures. I've bought A Walk in The Woods by Bill Bryson and Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer because of this book. I hope I'll enjoy them as much.

2. Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi. I read this book a few years ago and it became an instant favourite. It has made me want to read more African/black narratives as well as made me search for multigenerational novels (or at least books from many perspectives). The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende formed my love for these kind of books as well. I bought Girl, Woman, Other because of this book as well, still have to read it thouhg.

3. The Da Vince Code by Dan Brown. This book just sucked me in and I've read every book he has written since. They are not the best books, but I find the plots interesting and fun. Hard to put his books down.

4. Arlo by Floor Denil was the first graphic novel I really loved and has made me want to read more graphic novels.
June 15: My Summer TBR (very open to change)
1. Finish The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides, which I'm currently reading.

2. Finish Sapiens, although I'm fine with it taking longer. I just want to keep reading it.

3. The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

4. Beach Read by Emily Henry. I'm in the mood for something light, a romance, and this sounds perfect.

5. The Devil's Bible by Richard Dübell, one of the books that has been on my shelves the longest.

6. Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens

7. Why I'm No Longer Talking to White People about Race by Reni Eddo-Lodge

8. A Graphic Novel, whatever I'm in the mood for.

9. A Toni Morrison book.

10. One or more of my Anne of Green Gables books.

If you can tackle 1300 pages of War And Peace, you should be able to make it through your summer list.

The graphic novel will probably go quicker than a book too?

Well I'm still trying to tackle it, so maybe that should be my summer priority, finishing War and Peace

^ Yeah that's true. Graphic novels are a quick read!

You can brag to people when you finish War & Peace how you're one of the few people who ever finished it.
