I haven't gotten a lot of reading in lately with so much else going on. I guess I need to make time but its difficult sometimes, I guess we all have times like this.

Last week I read three books, no problem, but I started my fourth on Friday evening, and I'm only like 40 pages in! No time!

thats cool Friday was my dad's birthday and then we hung out today and we're grilling out tomorrow since he goes back to work early tuesday morning. The swelling my neck got so bad at the restaurant on friday that my hearing was effected it made it to where I couldn't hear my parents talk at the table with me but noises all over the restaurant, like background noise was flinch worthy loud. It was horrible. It scared me so much.

I've had such a bad weekend!

First on Saturday, I went out in the morning with my parents to run some errands, went for lunch, then got home around 1:30PM. Decided to relax with my book for a bit and I fell asleep.

When I woke up at around 4:20PM I called my Mom to see what she had been up to for the afternoon when I heard a loud bang outside....

I ran to my kitchen window to see a Volkswagon Beetle car had crashed through the gate and into my yard!!! I ran outside with my iPhone, pen and paper, to get info of course, and I could not find the driver/owner no where to be found!

I called the police to report it, and said I didn't know where the driver was and waiting patiently for the police. Twenty minutes later, the officer arrived and I relayed to him what had happened, and still no sign of the driver/owner.

At this point, I didn't know if the driver was hurt and had wandered off or what....

I saw across the street at our neighbours, a woman in the window downstairs and asked if she had seen what had happened, and she hadn't, but she asked if the car had a 'for sale' sign on it, which it did.

Then an older woman and man came out from the back of the house. Turns out my neighbour, her brother was staying with her while he was trying to sell his car, and he got home at about 4:25PM, when I heard the bang.

He forgot to put on the emergency break, so the car rolled down the hill that the car was parked on and crashed into my gate....

Talk about stress!!!

Thankfully no one was hurt, but my poor little gate!

The neighbours will take full responsibility for the repairs of the gate, but the car had no damage at all!

Then to make matters worse, I called my landlord to report the incident, only to find that he's 7 hours away with family, dealing with his own crisis. His father passed suddenly from a heart attack.

Then has been down like 24 hours for me, don't know about everyone else....

That's been my weekend in a nutshell...
