Had a busy couple days. Power has been out due to maintenance work in the neighborhood. It sucks, not having Internet access.

Melissa Ann - Didn't know you crotchet'd, I knit, I'm just starting out though. I've always been a crafty person. I like the cap, it looks really good.

Oh I love the flowers on the hats with that detail on them, I may take up crochet down the line so I can do detailing on my knitting on patterns that have both knitting and crochet elements. I'm gonna pm you about a crochet/knitting site I'm involved in you might enjoy.

Pammie, thank you. I'm both excited and scared to death with the thought of becoming a parent.
Melissa Ann, I love your crocheted hats! I had a lot of fun yesterday at my friend's Titanic-themed birthday party, but I stayed up waaayyyy too late. __________________

Soz - my sister got pregnant and she wasn't sure she would even have maternal instinicts (my sister was raped several times as a teenagers and isn't very touchy or affectionate because of it.) but once she had the baby, my now 2 year old niece Marianna she is much more sure of herself. She still has some issues with not being as affectionate but her husband is the cuddly one where she does the fun stuff with her like dancing and crafts, etc. she still finds ways to connect with her daughter and sometimes she can be affectionate but what I'm trying to say is I'm sure it'll be easier for you when the time comes.
How was the birthday party Titanic themed was it just like cake, etc. or? -Pammie __________________

Soz - Thanks, I find crochet relaxing when watching my shows in the evening! I made that hat in one afternoon!
Pammie - That's so horrible what happened to your sister as a teen! I hate when people say things like "Just get over it.." you don't get over something like that, but you learn to adapt and how to manage your emotions around it. Even though she may not be too affectionate, the most important thing is verbal communication, simply telling her daughter how much she loves her, which I'm sure she already does! Got your PM's Pammie, but you know that, as I replied! A Titanic themed party sounds like fun. There have been so many Titanic specials on TV this week! Mostly because today/yesterday evening, is/was the 100 year anniversary of the sinking. |

yeah my whole family but me and my sister the most got rough hands, she dealt with it mostly on her own, but I've had a lot of therphy to get over my stuff.
But I agree, you don't just 'get over' things like that, they leave an impression even when your not aware of it. -Pammie __________________
