The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman After the grisly murder of his entire family, a toddler wanders into a graveyard where the ghosts and other supernatural residents agree to raise him as one of their own. __________________

I read and have a copy of The Graveyard Book. What award is that on the cover? My copy doesn't have that on it.

I'm sorry never participate in the nominations and discussions, but I'm hardly ever able to get my hands on the books / read them when the discussion is going on. The Neil Gaiman book seems amazing and a great pick though!!
I'll try and read that one even if it won't be in october BTW - Not sure exactly which award is mentioned on the cover, but I got this info from wikipedia: "The Graveyard Book won the 2009 Hugo Award for Best Novel, Newbery Medal, and Locus Award for Best Young Adult novel, as well as the 2010 Carnegie Medal. It is the first novel to win both the Carnegie and Newbery medals and was also shortlisted for numerous others, making it one of the most honoured children's works in recent history" __________________

Any more noms? If there aren't anymore today, we'll just have to commence voting regardless.
I'm kind of disappointed we didn't get the kid's version of TGB, it's actually the adult version that came over. __________________

We welcome the votes regardless but it would be nice if we were all able to read the chosen books. (That said I'm only reading the books I would want to read and read them in a time-frame that works for me )
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs - 1 The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman Both books are on my TBR list and I'd be fine with reading either, so I'll hold off on my vote. __________________
