Reading Between the Lines, and I have to say I love it. I know it's different from her other books, and I think that's what I love about it. After having read so many of her books, I have to say many of them start to sound the same. I loved The Storyteller. The Pact is my other favorite of hers. I have a tendency to get lost in her books when I do read them. I think I read The Storyteller in a day.
I've only glanced at Between the Lines reviews and looks like it's received mixed reviews and I can understand why it might not be everyone's cup of tea. I was hesitant when I learned there was the fairytale element behind it because I'm not a huge fan of fantasy, in general, but I quickly found myself falling in love with both the main characters. I find them so relatable, personally, and they both speak to me.
Spoiler:
Can't wait to see where this book takes me. I'll probably be finished before the weekend ends. Wouldn't surprise me if I stay up all night. ^I haven't read Change of Heart. I've read so many of her books, I had to check. I've read:

I quite enjoyed Between the Lines also It was different. It was co-written with her daughter.

Yeah, I know, there are some parts are very teen-y. I like the note at the beginning where Jodi describes the short story her daughter wrote in second grade. The line she mentioned is used later in the book.
Honestly, as I'm reading this sometimes I feel like Delilah and I are the same person. We're so much alike it's uncanny. She brings me back to my high school years. |

Yeah. Well it was a YA book in general, which must have been something different for her to do.

I finished it Monday. I think the overarching themes, aside from it being a Young Adult book, were what made it truly magical. It's so much more than a teenager being in love with a fictional character. I feel like it's a book I would have loved when I was fifteen as much as I love now, and I'll still love it fifteen years from now. I can't say that about many books. Honestly, even the Harry Potter series doesn't appeal to me now as it did when I was fifteen. That's a series you have to grow up with to truly appreciate.
Between the Lines is truly unique in that nature. |

Nicely put.
There aren't many books you can say that about that's for sure. |

I've recently read Lone Wolf and Handle with Care. Both were good reads. Handle with Care is definitely on the top of my list of Picoult favorites! I had a difficult time reading Lone Wolf (although my kitten got sick while I was reading it and it took me three weeks to finish because I had so much going on and was distracted).
Spoiler:
Right now, I think Handle with Care and The Storyteller are my two favorites. I enjoyed The Pact as a teenager, but I was like fourteen when I read it. I don't know if I would enjoy it as much now. Strangely, Handle with Care and The Storyteller both focus on the lives of bakers and include detailed recipes. I'm probably the worst cook/baker, too. My mom cooks and bakes, though. Maybe the main characters remind me of my mom haha. |

I'm glad you liked those two books. I never read Lone Wolf, it just didn't seem interesting to me. I've not read Handle With Care but I thought about it. The Storyteller was really good, have you read her latest one called Leaving Time? I think it's one of her better ones.
