i read a lot on business roadtrips, because i'm always stuck in some hotel with 74 channels of trash, maybe 5 channels i'll actually watch, and books are always so much more fun than this tax-slave unreality with an orange-faced clown wearing a dead blonde squirrel on his head, running my country of birth. if i'm home, i read generally at night and fall asleep, so it takes me longer to read books at home.

On a trainride I read more than I do when I´m at home.
So let´s say for 100 pages to read I need at least one hour.

It takes me two to four days to finish a book. Depends on how the writing and pacing is!

The book I am currently reading has taken me 2 months But it's because I am annoyed with it and put it down twice.

Oh wow I don't know if I can spend two months on a book! It would be a DNF for me.

BehrItAll told me to give up. She thinks I am nuts for continuing. I can't even explain why I didn't give up. But now I am about 140 pages from the end and I feel like all the time I spent on it would be a waste if I do give up.

I stopped reading Interview with the Vampire at page 288 (out of 340).

It really depends on many factors for me. It's not one definitive answer.

Factors like how much free time I get, and how tired I am. Is the book long or short? What is the genre? How is the pacing?

I have finished some books in 2 to 3 days and others in 1-3 weeks.

And with audiobooks, it depends on the length and how much am I interrupted at work

Good! You found a thread that is 4 years old.

One day last week, I sat and read close to 300 pages. Other times I try to read, but fall asleep.

Steph - I guess it also depends if, when you pick up and book and begin to open it, do you let out a deep sigh and feel like it's a chore.

All in one sitting? Didn't your eyes hurt?

No, I got involved with Eloise Bridgerton, and the pages flew by.

If it's a chore then it's DNF.

80 more pages to go with my book. I can read 20 per day and finish on Monday

I heard this in the gymnastic coach's voice.

Going straight there. I am actually glad that I didn't like it enough to want to keep it in my home library.
