Oh ok. Does your post mean that V'lane was the reason for her rape and/or participated? I don't remember reading anything about that in 4th one so I'm assuming it (the reveal) comes later... or I just forgot. That's a likely case. I really should have read them slower. I couldn't help it.
I don't mind if they knew each other from before but I do admit to liking it better when they don't. |

Yeah, it was slow. I remember thinking, get to Scotland. And it picked up when he and his brother were reunited.
Just finished my re-read of Shadowfever. Still love that book to bits. |

I think it took me the second time around reading his book to come to love him.
Finished reading Spell of the Highlander. Which I pretty much skimmed and just read the important plot things. The formatting in the ebook was really off. I'm not sure if I ever realized how much the book sets up for the Fever books. I do wish we would of got to see more interactions with Cian and the twins. __________________

Oh, sorry about that. I should have checked the book.
yeah, it really does set things up. At that point, Karen must have knew she was gonna start Fever. |

Although I've seen some inconsistencies in the last few Highlander books setting up Fever with the queen.
It was mention a few times that she had met with the UK and at one point been lovers. But if that was the case the UK would of known that the queen and his consort was the same person. Also that the hunters were the queen and she locked them away. __________________

You've got a very good point there. Unless she was using a glamour.

Although I chalk it up to her probably not knowing where it all would lead.
If I remember right I can't think of exactly what but there was a few inconsistencies in some of the fever books and I know she explained some of them but they still feel like inconsistencies. __________________

Yeah, I don't think she had a clear picture of the fever series til after or around Spell of the highlander.
But even in longs series on an overall arc inconsistencies happen. |
