I got up to when Harriet is attacked by gypsies and Churchill rescues her. A little different from Ty at the mall when those Barneys were going to drop her off from the upper level.

Yes, much different
I finished the book and I liked it a lot. Although I wish there was more of the wedding. It was literally at the 1.5 min mark left in the audiobook. __________________

I was laughing this week at Mr. Woodhouse worrying about open windows at the ball. Everyone would be sick. |

He is nuts.
It's funny how in Clueless, Cher's dad doesn't care about his health and it's Cher who has to keep him healthy. __________________

I like the changes Clueless did with him. __________________

Charles Dickens did the same thing in writing characters, and Austen was dead before he started writing: Mr. Dick in David Copperfield, Miss Havisham In Great Expectations, and the father in Little Dorrit come to mind.

I wonder if it's because there aren't any new character types. Each character in every book fulfills some kind of mold...or need the author has, you know? Like this character's going to be the villain, this one the Boy Scout, this one the rebel. No one is a unique mold

some more fun quotes:
Mrs. E : I do not know whether it is not over-trimmed; I have the greatest dislike to the idea of being over-trimmed-quite a horror of finery. Mr. Woodhouse to Jane: My dear, did you change your stockings? (She got sprinkled on) |
