I can't wait to see/read the prequel, even if it's aimed for girls a third of my age
 I wouldn't mind a "reunion" of the characters or some sort of "where are they now?". I love that the series is making a comeback; I really feel the younger generations should give the series a go.  __________________

It also one of the few teen series that doesn't describe what brand the clothes the characters where I'm kind of sad that they are updating some of the things I like keeping it in the 80's and 90's but I will still read the preequal I would love reading a book of them in high school though

Aww, I didn't know there's a prequel! Is it called The Summer Before?
I loved this series as a kid!  I owned so many of them, and I read each one bunches of times! I saw on Amazon that they changed the book covers for the series... new covers. I loved the old covers.  Be sure to tell me how the prequel goes... oh the nostalgia.  __________________

I went and picked up the prequel the first week it was avaliable and loved it! It's obviously an easy read but it was so adorable. Made me wish I back to that age where summers went on forever and the only thing you had to worry about was what bathing suit to wear that day. It was great!

I agree, the old covers are much better.

I definitely liked the old covers better! I know the books are targeted towards a young audience, but they're not for babies!

I read a few Friends Forever but I didn't really like it much Logan/Mary Anne broke up and Claudia and Stacy were fighting over a guy

I read the prequel last night in one sitting. It was really cute and I miss those summer days as well. I love the writing, all the details from the series came flooding back to me. It was a good, nostalgic read.
