The Baby-Sitters Club 1: We all wanted to be like them once

Do you remember Kristy, Claudia, Mary-Anne, Stacey, Dawn, Jessi, Mallory, Logan and other favorite Baby-sitters and even some of the kids they sat for, like Jackie Rodowski?

Well come share the memories, spark other posters memoires, and lets talk about the BSC!

Take a moment to fill out the questions if you would like, and then we can start discussing, and if enough interest is shown, maybe do a book of the month to discuss,

Oooh, I loved the BSC when I was younger! I still have some of the books and I still pick up one now and again to read
I think these books are what made me love reading so much.

Name: Sarah
Age: 20
Favourite BSC Book: "Baby-Sitters On Board", "Kristy's Great Idea", "The Truth About Stacey", "Kristy's Big Day"...I have heaps .
Favourite Member: When I was little, it was Mary Anne, but now it's Dawn.

Does anyone remember the TV show? I used to love that.
My favourite BSC clients were Jamie and Lucy Newton, Charlotte Johanson and the Barretts.
As you can tell, I could talk about the BSC all day .

I used to like the Sweet Valley series as well, but I think I liked the Sweet Valley High ones the best.

I'm still trying to collect all the BSC books . It's easy to find the earlier ones, but I'm having trouble finding the later books in the series.

I forgot about the Pikes!
I really liked Claire, Margo and Nicky but the triplets annoyed me.

I loved SVH too!

The saddest one was Kristy and the Snobs, poor Louie *sniff*

Oh, maaaaan, I loved the BSC books *so* much. Occasionally I get the biggest urges to read them again (and I'm 28!) because they were such a big part of my growing up years. Do they still make them? If not, what happened at th end of the series?

I don't think they make them anymore, and as for what happened, I really want to find out!

I don't think they make them anymore, either.
But there are graphic novels out of "Kristy's Great Idea" and "The Truth About Stacey". I haven't read them yet, though.

I've read the last book, "Graduation Day" and it was pretty good, but I was sad that the series was over.

Unfaithful- I know, that was so sad! I used to cry when I read that. "Claudia And The Sad Goodbye" also used to make me cry.

I'm not sure when I stopped reading. Nothing after Kristy's Worst Idea looks familiar. I think that was about the time I got distracted by California Diaries.

I used to hoard candy in my room like Claudia. I never ate it, I just wanted to be just like them. And I bought the babysitters club guide to babysitting even though I was never much of a babysitter. I was most like Kristy though, always the tomboy so I really associated with her.
