I have read that cast members of Nashville can have up to like 8 days of no filming depending on the schedule for the episode, so Hayden was probably just free for a good chunk of time and used that go to do some stuff in LA. From her pictures on Twitter in late September and early October, it seemed like she was doing some pretty intensive and day-long filming, so she probably finished her scenes for the ep they are currently doing and then got some time off while they filmed the other stuff. My best guess!

I think they really bunched her eps a bit bc she won't return so soon to nashville. She's apparently still battling heavy PPD and is now in a treatment facility according to US weekly.

This is very sad. She seems to have as many problems as her character. I hope she get's well soon.

I think she had the depression all the time since having the baby. But she just now started getting treatment. Probably bc it didn't started getting really better.

I just hope the antidepressive medication won't affect her body and mind too much. Bc this kind of medcine is pretty agressive. Luckily it's just until she's cured.
Bc with other forms of depression you have to take medcine for the rest of your life.

I think it depends on if they treat her with medication. They sometimes do. And they sometimes don't.
