I feel like he never really got over Casey and It breaks my heart to watch him get his heart broken by his (ex.) best friend and the girl he loves.

i think he forced himself to get over it. he jumped right into his relationship with frannie (excuse me while i shudder... though i do miss her crazy ass) but he never processed what happened. he thought he and casey were going to get back together. then she found out about shane. then he was evil and dated frannie. then they became friends again and she immediately starts dating cappie.
