Yeah, I think it's probably best to read them in order.

I read fairly quickly , so maybe I can read a few of them before the premiere.
I bet the books become even more popular when the show airs.

You won't be able to put them down. Complete page turners. They get you hooked from start to finish.

I usually enjoy the police solving murders stories. I love the John Sandford "Prey" books.

I've read all James Patterson's books and am so excited for this series to begin.
Also read every John Sanford book as well.

I was reading 1st to Die and I remembered seeing a TV movie based on the book.

I guess I will move on to the second book.

Rosie, I hope I love Lindsay Boxer as much as I love Lucas Davenport.

I'm a huge fan of James' books and the WMC series have been my second faves after the Alex Cross books. I'm glad a series was made out of this because I wasn't a huge fan of the made for television movie aside from Carly Pope being cast as Cyndi.

I do have problems with the series because, and I'm not going to give this away, but I keep waiting for one of the characters to die like she/he does in the book and thus I can't really get into his/her character. Read 3rd Degree if you don't know whom I am talking about.

I like most of the casting though, although Lindsay as a brunette takes some time to get used to for some reason, but Angie gives the character what I see in the book so that's good.

Well, it's true that they took alot from the books when they made it into a series. But, I don't think they are going to be following the same plots as the book did. I mean, if they followed the same things in the books, there would be no mystery whatsoever. I think I even read a recent quote from James Patterson about that. So I don't think we should be worried about anyone major being killed off in the series...at least for now. As it is, the pilot already went a different way then the first book did. They took what they needed most from the books.......but they are creating unique and original storylines for the series.

I'm guessing they're not going to write Chris in, due to his fate in the first book. I like them setting Tom up as the main love of her life instead- works better for a TV show.

About that character...

Hey everyone. James Patterson is my favourite author, I have read so many of his books and have a new one now that I need to start reading.

I have read the WMC series as well as other series. I just need to catch up by reading the last two books from the WMC series.

Add me to to the list plz.

I've read most of Patterson's Alex Cross series (in the middle of Cross right now and ordered Double Cross online the other day) and have read some of his other unrelated books but never the Women's Murder Club series. A friend who often shares books with me recently picked up 1st to Die so I'm sure I'll be getting to read it as soon as she's done. We actually did the same thing with a couple of other book series for which other television shows were based. I swear I've read more books in the past year than I did the previous 3 years combined.
