There was so many ways they could have written him still with Brooke, but they were too lazy to do so.

Agreed. And I really do think they wanted to keep Kelso "romantically free" to bring him back to the status quo yet again.

But I would've loved to see Kelso and Brooke's relationship deepen once Betsy was born.

Yes, which is made more frustrating by all the good episodes and seasons the show has. We saw how great the show could be. Would've been nice if that level of quality had been consistent.

If Kelso could rewrite the show, it would be a scary thing.

Well it's good Kelso is not writing the show...lol.


However, I like to think Kelso and Brooke found their way back to each other. They were good for each other.

If Kelso and Brooke had stayed together, despite Shannon Elizabeth being a regular on the show or not, Angie would've gotten a better storyline. Jackie and Hyde wouldn't have needed to be broken up by the end of season 7. Fez could've found the true love of his life and, hopefully, not turned into philanderer. Basically, a totally different season 7 and 8.

Everyone in Point Place conspires to keep Kelso and Brooke together,, which will freak them both out. And they might leave Point Place together to get away from all the nutters.

As long as they were together with Betsy.

Although I like to think of all of them still being friends as they got older. Maybe not all living in the same town anymore, but close enough where they could hang out once in awhile and still talk.
