I agree. I actually didn't like Steve in S1 and parts of S2 as well but he ended up being my 2nd fav character after Brandon

He was racist, sexist and elitist in s1, and sometimes afterwards, but he had a lot of potential to change it early on the show already.

He wasn't pleasant to start with but he changed a lot over the years. I didn't like him at the start as well

When I first started watching 90210 as a kid, my favorites were Brenda, Brandon and Dylan.
Over time Steve and David have become my favorite male characters, and Donna and Andrea the female characters. Funny how that works. |

Dylan was my favorite character for the first 2 seasons but he went seriously downhill from S3 onwards. Steve progressed over the years to become my 2nd favorite but Brandon is my favorite. Brenda is my favorite female character and I love Val and Clare. Andrea was OK. I liked Kelly in the first 2 seasons as well but after that she became my worst character on the show for a bit until she got with Brandon but stays as my 2nd worst character. My worst character has to be Donna!

Dylan was definitely my fav character in the first 2 seasons and I actually liked Kelly in those seasons too. As the seasons went on, it was Brandon, Steve, Brenda and Val who became my favorites
