Last night I was reading Shannen's 1998 US Weekly interview and she mentioned Luke, just very briefly, when they asked her a question about her leaving the show. That made me all kinds of happy for some reason.

I hope they have something interesting for Brenda's character when she comes back to the show. It would be better if she signed on for more episodes that I guess is the possibility so she can actually get her own storyline going.

I'm not surprised that Doherty is returning. After all, she wasn't exactly getting Radar covers while doing TV movies with titles like Kiss Me Deadly. I would, however, be surprised if her return wasn't predicated on a few changes. After all, Kelly has a job at the school, her sister (Silver) is a main character, she has a love interest and baby daddy drama. Brenda, on the other hand... directed the school musical. I know that Doherty has supposedly reformed her bad girl ways, but I doubt she would agree to come back if her role wasn't substantially beefed up. After all, nobody puts Brenda in a corner.

I love that she implied that she and Luke left the show for similar reasons- to grow as an actor and person.

I love that she´s always been that honest and straight about all the things she says....No hypocrisy or judgments, just herself.
