I didn't mind Nikki and Brandon but I never really seen them as a long term potential though - maybe they weren't given much screen time. The only thing I liked from Brandon in S3 was his gambling addictions. Now I do see Kelly as a long term partner so that is why it would have made sense to get them going in S3

I wouldn't argue that more BK time is always better.

I just rewatched 8x05 - Coming Home. I'm glad the writers changed the Spring Dance SL back to normal with Brandon being Kelly's date. I think they only changed it in S7 only to fit the Steve/Kelly SL.

I'm also glad that the show reference the Spring Dance episode so many times.

That scene was the point when they should have got back together - it was perfect timing for him. We had to endure Tracy's clingy attitude and Mark's arrogance which I thought was pointless

I agree. Spending more time in S7 could've made a better S8.

Yes I agree. They could have gave more scope with the miscarriage story, her father's issues, and added other things with them. Instead it seemed that once they got together towards the end of S7, they seemed to have squashed everything in at a short space of time which is just silly. Don't get me wrong, the ring story was wonderful to watch but I think they could have done that in early S7 rather than around episode 20 so we can at least get them together half way through S7

Yeah. Jason's character in WILAY was a little off...he was cute and seemed very devoted to Val...but off. I wish Jason's character could've reprise Brandon (even though he'll be under a different name). Basically, after he tells Val that he thinks that they've dated, he can go on about how he regret leaving for Washington and should've stayed and that meeting Val seemed like a second chance of love.
