Awesome! I hope she has fond memories of it. I didn't expect to be here for more than four years, but I'm happy to be here anyway.

Thanks for the congrats, girls!

That is gorgeous.

There was a quote from Emily just the other day, talking about how there couldn't ever be a SP sequel because of the ending -- and also, apparently all the girls had it in their contracts that they would only do the movie if there was NO SEQUEL made.

I had understood that the contract said a sequel would have to involve all five of them. Anyway, here's the article.

Quote:
No Sucker Punch sequel for Browning

Emily Browning has cast doubts over a possible Sucker Punch sequel.

The Australian actress, who starred in Zack Snyder's action adventure alongside Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung and Jena Malone, reckoned there will not be a follow-up.

"I don't think so, just because in terms of the ending. It wouldn't really make sense for there to be a sequel. Almost everyone dies," she said.

"I think we all had a deal from the beginning that a sequel will only happen if it involves all the characters - I think it's in all of our contracts - and that's not really possible."

Emily - whose new film Sleeping Beauty is in cinemas now - admitted she isn't a fan of sequels.

"Even though I had so much fun working on that film, I have never really wanted to be a part of anything that would have a possible sequel, because I get bored really easily and I have a short attention span," she continued.

"So I want to keep moving forward. The idea of going back to a character that I've already done doesn't particularly appeal to me."

She also revealed that Zack Snyder has kept her in the dark about the Superman reboot.

"I've tried to get information from him and he is not giving anything up at all. He's very good at keeping quiet while laughing off the questions," she said, adding: "He hasn't asked me about a role actually. I don't think there are any appropriate characters for me."

Actually, there's been this idea in my head about how to do a sequel. But she said she'd be bored, and I don't want that, lol. And the original is just sooo iconic in and of itself that it makes no sense to continue with it other than to just get on the "let's make sequels and remakes!" bandwagon. But if it happened, it would be a story that explains where the original girls came from, while at the same time moving on with a new character who would need the help of these figures/characters in her head (the five girls) to get out of a predicament. And she would be connected to one of them in a cool way. So it would all tie together and come full circle between past, present, and future.

Anyway...unlikely. I'm the one with the idea, and even I think it shouldn't come to fruition. But if Warner Bros greenlights a sequel, it better be because it's mine or I will hate them for going along with someone else's idea. Yeah, I'm selfish

Here's another interesting article I found which I liked a lot. It's from a gamer news website, and it explains to gamers, the supposed target audience, why they should like or not like "Sucker Punch" for the right reasons.

If you don't like Sucker Punch, you're watching it wrong (Busy Gamer News)

Oh, yes, OB, you're right.

I wouldn't want a sequel, if they had to make ANYTHING, I'd want a prequel. That would be awesome. But it also wouldn't be very much like the first SP. Ugh. Can't they just release a Special Deluxe Edition DVD with billions and billions of extra stuff? Or sell the original script or something, I don't care. I kind of like how SP is it's own standalone film because there's not really a whole lot they could actually do based off the original. IMHO, that's what makes it perfect.

I've never seen this particular Blondie pic before, but either way:

Total BAMF right here.

Why would someone even ask about a sequel?

Most of the characters die, and Babydoll isn't even really there.

It would probably be one of those sequels where they had new characters in a similar situation but an old main character talks to them or something(though not even that would work).

Those tattoos!

If a sequel would ever get made, then Hollywood will have officially, officially gone bonkers.

*sees the tattoos:* DAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!

I read an interview that talked about how Zack's movies are polarizing, and he said he's seen people get scenes from 300 tattooed. So even though there was some hate for the movie, there was just as much passion. And he said, "You don't see people getting scenes tattooed from He's Just Not That Into You."

True that. Wholeheartedly concur.
