I wonder what route the writers are gonna take with Gaius next season. I hope he doesn't suffer as much as he did in the third one

Poor Gaius was picked to be blamed for everything. Like Lee said at the trial, they dumped all their guilt and shame on him, they needed a "target" to hate on to feel better about everything that happened. But now that even Adama seems to be over it (he said non-guilty at the trial!) maybe people will start getting over themselves and giving Gaius a chance again

The prisoner thing has been done. He will be kept by those women and who knows what their plans are for him.
